Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is warmer with the flesh tones tending more towards salmon pink and the eye shadow to turquoise in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. The lower left and right extreme corner tips are slightly worn. There are a few fine isolated hairline tension cracks in a few places around the top, bottom and left extreme overturn edges. There is a vertical rub mark extending down from the centre of the top edge. Close inspeciton reveals a few extremely fine feather cracks to the sitter's hair and to the top of the right extreme edge. There is a pinhead-sized speck of paint loss to the right of the left sitter's mouth and a few extremely faint and unobtrusive handling marks to the top and bottom left hand corners. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
