Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalgue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly richer and cooler, with the terracotta and brown tones around the edges tending more towards aubergine and brick red in the original. Condition: This work is in good condition. There is some undulation to the sheet with specks of surface dust, dirt and light wear scattered throughout. There is a vertical crease (11cm approx) in the top left hand quadrant, and a small material fibre adhering to the centre of the top edge. There are three faint rub marks to the upper centre of the top sheet and a few further fine rub marks around the edges, including one 5cm above the signature on the right edge and another 8cm below the top left corner on the left extreme edge. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
