Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is deeper and richer, with the background tending more towards a slate grey in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. The lower left and top right corner tips are rubbed with some associated paint loss. Upon close inspection there are a several extremely fine rub marks throughout, most notably to the top right corner, to the left of centre, and to the right of the signature. Two tiny fly spots are visible beneath the top left corner. There are two short canvas protrusions to the centre and lower centre of the right extreme edge. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
