Millares a fait siennes ces toiles à sac dont il ignore tout. En même temps, les tableaux de Millares se chargent d'un feu nouveau: scènes de crime ou scène de théâtre, ils révèlent le mystère de leurs toiles à sac, avec tout le luxe de leur pauvreté et avec toute la force de leur pouvoir de suggestion... Seules ces toiles lui permettent de porter à un aussi haut degré cette catégorie de sa création: les reliefs.
