Condition
Executed on a thin paper laid down on canvas.
There is a fifteen centimeters restored tear perpendicular to the lower edge at fifteen centimeters from the top.
Perpendicular to the lower edge, there are a four centimeters flattened crease at twenty-five centimeters from the left, and a three centimeters crease at sixty centimeters from the right.
Under UV light, there is no evidence of any retouching.
This work is in very good condition.

Comme un certain nombre de créateurs de ce siècle (Dubuffet ou Masson pour n'en citer que deux), Alechinsky est un peintre qui écrit. Non pour expliquer sa peinture, mais pour s'expliquer. Fidèle en cela aussi à la leçon de Cobra qui réfutait la spécialisation des artistes, la ligne, le trait sont ainsi pour lui des armes à double sens.
