Condition

This work is in very good overall condition. There are few minor and unobtrusive craquelures along left hand edge. No traces of retouching appear to be visible under UV light.

"Nella mia infanzia (tra il 1928 e il 1938), avevo eseguito alcune acqueforti e ne ho fatte altre nel 1953. Questo lavoro di grattare il rame o lo zinco รจ veramento fatto per me e questa passione mi ha perseguito fino ad avere ancora - venti o trent'anni dopo - una netta influenza sulla mia pittura, specialmente negli anni 1961 a 1965, in cui ho preso l'abitudine di grattare , con diversi strumenti, nell'impasto fresco dei colori, colori spesso scuri."
