Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. On all four corners, there are very minor losses at the tips as is typical of canvases from this period. Under UV, there are very small retouches to all four corners, with retouching to adjacent edges as follows: along the top edge located ¾ in. – 1 3/8 in. from the left and along the right edge extending ¾ in. down from the upper right corner. Also under UV, there is a consolidation to hairline cracks in the black silkscreen ink with some retouch to a small loss located 2 ¾ - 3 ¼ in from left and 7-7 ¾ in. down from the top edge. On the reverse, associated with the repaired area, there is a small 1/4in. spot of consolidation to the weave of the canvas, surrounded by light black ink stains. The surface of the canvas appears clean and fresh. Under UV light, there are scattered tiny splash accretions in the upper two quadrants and the lower left quadrant primarily, possibly from the time of execution. These spots are not apparent to the naked eye with the exception of two tiny spots in the bottom left flower. This work is framed in a black painted wood strip frame with a small float.
