Condition

This painting is in very good condition. Under ultraviolet light, there are no apparent restorations to be noted. Various anomalies to the paint surface are associated with the materials and the process. There are various scattered folds and creases that were original to the canvas prior to screening, since pigment has pooled in these areas following application. The design is created from multiple screenings for each color, using a smaller screen, approximately 36 inches wide. There are occasional areas where one color transfers diagonally into another. There are studio retouches to delineate clean edges and also at vertical intervals that correspond to the edges of the 36 in. wide screens. There is a spot located 36 ½ - 37 inches from the left edge and 38 ½ to 39 inches from the bottom edge, which is a rubbing away of a liquid drop, most likely during the studio production. This canvas is not framed. The stretcher breaks down into multi-parts and the canvas needs to be rolled for transport.
