Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly brighter and more vibrant, with the green in the lower left quadrant tending more towards fluorescent green in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is very minor wear to the top left and bottom corners. There are three tiny fly spots to the centre left of the top left hand quadrant and a further three to the centre of the top third of the composition. There are two short horizontal canvas creases at the centre of the left extreme edge, original to the work's execution. There is a diagonal line of paint shrinkage (visible in the catalogue illustration) to the left of the centre of the composition, exposing the white canvas underneath, with a fine network of drying craquelure beneath. A further two lines of shrinkage are visible at the centre of the left edge and approximately 15 cm. above the centre of the lower extreme edge. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
