Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is softer and richer in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. The sheets are hinged to the backing board in several places along the reverse. There is slight undulation to the top sheet of the work. There is a horizontal crease located 60cm. from the top edge. There are two short paper tears: one to the top edge towards the left hand corner, and one to the right edge towards the right hand corner. All of the above is inherent to the artist's working process and choice of medium. On the bottom sheet there is evidence of cracking, mostly noticeable on the heavier areas of impasto with relevant minor spots of paint loss.
