Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is deeper and richer, with the grey shades tending more to shark skin grey in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is a matrix of stable drying cracks, some with raised edges, to the lower left quadrant towards the left hand edge, as well as one to the black paint in the upper right corner and in places to the centre of the composition. There are some further less noticeable networks of drying cracks scattered in places throughout, all of which are inherent to the artist's choice of medium. Upon very close inspection there are two minute specks of paint loss to the right section of the top edge and to the top of the extreme right outer edge. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
