Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although there are some light yellow undertones in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. The canvas is slightly slack. There is a small paint loss to the extreme top edge, approximately 40 cm. in from the upper left corner tip, and two small paint losses to the central section of the extreme bottom edge. There are scattered irregularities to the surface in places throughout, all of which appear to be inherent to the artist's working process. Examination under ultra-violet light reveals seven small spots of unobtrusive retouching halfway between the right handle of the vase and the right hand edge.
