The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is deeper and richer, with the red a more saturated hue in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. It is hinged to the backing mount at intervals on the reverse along all four edges. The backing mount is slightly bowed and there is slight undulation to the sheet. All four edges are deckled. There are three very faint rub marks to the centre of the red pigment on the lower edge. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
