Condition

Colour: The colours in each catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the paper tone is slightly warmer in each original works. (i): The overall tonality is slightly warmer and richer in the original. (ii): The overall tonality is slightly warmer and richer, with the pale green tending towards deep green in the original. (iii): The overall tonality is slightly warmer and richer, with the pale green tending towards deep green in the original. Condition: (i): This work is in very good condition. It is hinged to the backing board in the top two corners. There is light undulation and handling creases scattered in places throughout the composition, predominantly towards the top and bottom edges. There are two minute tears and an extremely light media accretion to the extreme left-hand edge towards the top corner, hidden by the mount. There are some extremely light pinsized flyspots scattered in some places throughout, only visible upon close inspection. (ii): This work is in very good condition. It is hinged to the backing board in the top two corners. There are four artist's pinholes, one towards each corner. There is a pinsized spot of foxing towards the lower centre of the left-hand edge. There is an extremely small, light media accretion towards the right of the figure's head and a further, extremely light spot towards the bottom right-hand corner. There is light undulation and light handling creases scattered in places throughout and a slightly deeper crease in the two top corners. There is a fine tear towards the centre left of the extreme top edge and a further minute tear to the extreme right-hand edge towards the top corner, hidden by the mount. The paper has discoloured slightly, most notably along the left and right edges. (iii): This work is in very good condition. It is hinged to the backing board in the top two corners. There are four artist's pinholes, one towards each corner of the paper. The paper is slightly wavy throughout. There are light handling creases scattered in places throughout and one slightly deeper diagonal crease running towards the top edge.The overall paper tone has discoloured slightly with a further area of slightly darker discolouration towards the top of the extreme left-hand edge, hidden by the mount. There is a small circular media accretion towards the lower centre of the left-hand edge and a very faint blue media accretion towards the bottom right-hand corner. There is a tiny spot of paper lifting towards the top of the extreme right-hand edge and very light wear to the top two corner tips.
