Ce petit masque lukwakondo saisit par la hardiesse de sa conception cubiste. Sculptée en surplomb, la partie supérieure est structurée par le nez puissant, dont l'inclinaison fait glisser le regard en profondeur ; le plan inférieur simplement animé par la bouche ajourée. La force de la sculpture est accentuée par la patine noire, croûteuse sur le plan concave des yeux.

Condition
Very good condition overall. Wear consistent with age and use within the culture. Beautiful thick crusty patina around the eyes. A small chip to the very centre of the topmost edge.
