En poussant jusqu'à l'abstraction la conception minimaliste du corps humain – telle qu'elle apparaît dans l'art Luba -, le sculpteur a accentué la mise en valeur de la tête et conservé, par la tension de la courbe interne, toute l'intériorité de l'attitude. Le visage incliné présente au premier plan l'ample front bombé ceint d'une coiffe en diadème, la plénitude de la forme accentuée par la sérénité de l'expression : paupières closes, lèvres serrées. Patine nuancée, crème et caramel, brune dans les creux de la gravure.
