De la ligne dont le sculpteur a pris soin de sauvegarder l'unité émergent les diagonales délicates des membres repliés, convergeant vers le visage. Minuscules, les traits à peine ébauchés mettent en valeur la plénitude de la tête, accentuée par la coiffe en chignons verticaux. La très grande sensibilité de la sculpture est accentuée par le dessin serré de la veinure apparente.
