with rectangular caned backs and seats now including squab cushions, on turned front legs

Christ Church, Oxford.

Condition

Good overall restored condition. Seven chairs with evident repairs to front legs. Caning inevitably replaced but of an attractive toned down colour. Most chairs have characteristic wear to the tips of the front legs. Most have some minor bruising and old marks and scratches, consistent with age and use. A rare long set. Dimensions: Overall height 84cm. Overall width at front of seat 48cm. Overall depth 49cm. Depth of seat to back 37cm. Height of seat 41.5cm. Height of seat including cushion 45cm.
