Condition

Kashan silk prayer rug: Pile ranges from approximately 1/8th of an inch to low to knotheads and spot foundation in a few scattered areas in field and upper end border. Scattered visible warp ties, upper end border with generally low pile. Sides with remnants of original silk selvages. Lower end slightly fraying, upper end secured with binding stitch, flexible handle. Kashan silk rug: Pile is approximately 1/6th of an inch throughout and slightly scrambled. Sides with original silk selvages with some fraying and losses on right side. Pile generally low to foundation around right side. Upper end with original flatwoven end finish and barber pole stitching. Ends secured with binding stitch. Flexible handle.
