Condition

Pile is generally very closely sheared to 1/10 of an inch with scattered areas of wear and foldwear low to knotheads, not serious. One 10 inch by 6 inch reweave at one end with three smaller reweaves at same end. Two and half foot area of abrash at one end of carpet where reds become light rust-colored. Original two cord cotton selvages, some reselvaging and fraying and reattaching; recommend securing. Remnants of original knotted fringes at both ends with minor losses into ivory outer guard stripe, also recommend stabilizing. Supple handle, fine dense weave, very classic carpet.
