Condition
Pile ranges from approximately 1/5th of an inch to low to knotheads. Oxidized browns, scattered foldwear. A 1.5 inch slit/hole in left border. A 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch repaired hole southeast of medallion. Another similarly sized repaired hole in lower end border. Few scattered repiled old moth damage and some repaired slits. Small 1 inch slit into left border. Scattered spot stains and surface dirt. Missing upper and outer guard stripe with some minor losses into checkerboard inner guard stripe, now secured with blanket stitch. Lower end with original flatwoven finish with some losses. Sides partially overcast with losses and abrasions. Some adhesive residue on reverse, not extensive. Supple handle, generally good pile, will enhance with cleaning and minor restoration.
