Pile ranges from near original 1/5in. in borders with most of field low to knotheads and areas of wear and folder in center of rug low to spot foundation. Abrash in upper end where red is slightly lighter. Dark browns also oxidized to knotheads and spot foundation. Sides missing outer guard stripes, now reselvaged. Ends missing guard stripes and a few rows of knots into guard borders, now partially secured with binding stitch, recommend further securing. Surface dirt throughout, recommend cleaning. Very flexible handle,lustrous wool, good saturated colors.
