Tabriz rug, 5ft. 3in. by 4ft. 2in. Pile generally closely sheared 1/10in. Scattered areas of foldwear low to knotheads. Partial original flatwoven ends and knotted fringes. Losses to fringes and no losses to pile. Original white cotton selvages with breaks and some later overcasting. Robust weave. Tabriz rug, 4ft. 10in by 4ft. 1in. (1.47 by 1.24m.) Pile in borders closely sheared 1/10in. Pile in center generally low to knotheads. A 2in. by 1,5in. reweave in lower left corner of field. A 4in. by 3in. reweave in right side of field. Small repaired hole in mid left border. Scattered moth damage on reverse, with some repiled, now faded on the face, not extensive. Partial end guard borders and missing end guard stripes. Ends secured with machine-made binding stitch. Original white cotton selvages. Flexible handle, sound fabric. Tabriz mat, 2ft. 9in. by 1ft. 10in. (0.84 by 0.56m.) Pile is closely sheared overall. Missing end guard stripes. Ends fraying slightly . Reselvaged. Zili Sultan mat, Northwest Persia, 2ft. 10in. by 2ft. (0.86 by 0.61m.) Woven horizontally, probably a bagface. Pile generally low to knot heads overall. Ends fraying slightly with losses to outer guard stripes. A 1in. repaired slit on left side. Hot orange red dyes bleeding on reverse. Remnants of original selvages with most overcast and now with losses and fraying. Will enhance with careful cleaning. Senna mat, Northwest Persia, 3ft. 2in. by 2ft. 2in. (0.97 by 0.66m.) Pile generally very closely sheared 1/10in. with dark browns oxidized to knot heads and spot foundation. Scattered spot stains. Original kilim end finishes with fraying original stitching. Some original eight-cord flat silk selvages. Supple handle, good overall condition. Tabriz mat, 2ft. 7in. by 2in. (0.79 by 0.61m.) Pile is generally closely sheared with scattered areas low to knot heads. Missing outer end guard stripes. Ends now secured with binding stitch. Original two-cord blue selvages with losses end fraying. robust weave. Sound fabric and condition. Tabriz mat, 2ft. 7in. by 2ft. 1in. (0.79 by 0.64m.) Generally closely sheared 1/10 in. pile overall. some scattered foldwear in field with pile low to knotheads. Red on face very faded compared to reverse. Partial outer end guard stripe. Original two-cord selvages with some losses. Flexile handle, sound overall condition. Tabriz mat, 2ft. 7in. by 1ft. 8in. Pile generally good dense, 1/10 in. Some scattered spot stains. Some areas low to knot heads in field due to foldwear. With some warp ties showing through. Partial end guard borders, slightly fraying, recommend securing. 0/5in by 0.5in nick out of one corner. Original two-cord white cotton selvages with small losses. Sound fabric and condition, will enhance with cleaning.
