Condition

Pile generally low to knot heads overall. Extensive repiling overall, particularly in field, border with more original pile but also showing restoration. The field is generally repiled in a rose wool with the original burgundy color showing through in a few areas. Upper right corner with 12in. by 8in. reweave with smaller reweaves in lower end. Missing outer and end guard stripes with losses into guard borders, sides and end now overcast with minor losses. Fabric backed, supple handle, handsome large scale design and palmette motifs. Restored and ready for use.
