Pile is generally good, near original, approximately 1/4 of an inch throughout. Small 1 inch by 1 inch repiled area in lower left corner of field. Small 1 inch vertical slit in lower end border. One circular furniture mark, approximately 1 inch in diameter in upper left section of field. Losses and fraying to original 5 cord selvages, recommend securing. Remnants of original flatwoven ends, now secured with blanket stitch. Good overall condition, good pile, supple handle, will enhance with minor restorations to slits and sides.
