Provenance
Sir Charles Henry Tempest, 1st Bt. (1834 - 1894), thence by descent to Ethel Mary Tempest (1869 - 1937) who married Miles Stapleton, 10th Lord Beaumont (1850 - 1895) thence by descent.

Condition
The gilding is dirty and worn throughout but the casting is of very good quality. The collar on one is loose but can easily be re-fixed. Both vases have been restored but well executed and not obvious due to veining. In overall good condition. They are of impressive scale.
