Sir Charles Henry Tempest, 1st Bt. (1834 - 1894), thence by descent to Ethel Mary Tempest (1869 - 1937) who married Miles Stapleton, 10th Lord Beaumont (1850 - 1895) thence by descent.

Condition

These are in country house condition. Edonised tops with marks and rubbing. Old marks, chips, scratches consisemt with age and use. The gilding to the mounts is worn and they are very dirty and could benefit from cleaning. The bow to one is missing.They are well-cast. There are age cracks to both doors which can be restored. There are age cracks generally. There are replaced elements to the brass stringing. Some hardstones are missing. They are in need of attention but once restored will be attractive.
