each painted with a red indian standing before a seated sailor, a ship beyond, above the labels 'AMERIKAANSE' 'POMPADOER', 'SCHOSSE' and 'G:RAPPE' (minor chips)

Provenance

Possibly supplied to Henry Stapleton, 9th Lord Beaumont  (1848 - 1892) by John Francis Bentley and thence by descent.

Condition

Overall in very good condition. Typical chips around the rims; one has had an impact blow to the shoulder with an approx ½" by ¼" loss of glaze
