Description

  • 13cm; 5¼in
painted in purple with flower sprigs, blue crossed swords mark, a matching sugar bowl, tea canister and matched cover and a saucer; also a Meissen cornsheaf pattern plate and two various covers (some damage)

Provenance

Probably Sir Charles Henry Tempest, 1st Bt. (1834 - 1894), thence by descent to Ethel Mary Tempest (1869 - 1937) who married Miles Stapleton, 10th Lord Beaumont (1850 - 1895) thence by descent.

Condition

Milk jug and cover - small chip to spout. Sugar bowl - cover lacking, cracked right across, teacanister - cover marked and with chips, saucer - chip to rim, two covers both damaged.
