- 23.5cm; 9¼in
modelled by J.F. Lück, standing before a tree stump holding a cornucopia of flowers, lion rampant mark in underglaze blue, impressed 6/PH, also a Höchst type group of two seated figures (some damage).
Provenance
Probably Sir Charles Henry Tempest, 1st Bt. (1834 - 1894), thence by descent to Ethel Mary Tempest (1869 - 1937) who married Miles Stapleton, 10th Lord Beaumont (1850 - 1895) thence by descent.
Condition
Flora - head broken and glued at neck, right arm glued at shoulder; crack from left wrist and forearm. Chips to flowers.
Höchst type group - male right arm lacking. Left arm repaired at shoulder. Left leg missing below knee. Haircracks across right leg. Chip to waistcoat. Female - both arms lacking; chip to egde of gown, chip to right shoe and chip to base.
