Large 8vo (250 x 175mm.), folding engraved frontispiece, 77 hand-coloured aquatint plates, all but two hand-coloured, some cut round and mounted, contemporary straight-grained red half morocco, spine gilt, frontispiece a bit frayed, binding rubbed, upper hinge cracked

A rare, bespoke collection of plates assembled from Ackermann's Repository of Arts. The letterpress title, presumably unique, explains that the volume is for presentation to Thomas Bird, whose bookplate is in the front of the volume.
