First edition, 4to (280 x 215mm.), 24 engraved plates, comprising 16 hand-coloured costume plates, one plan coloured in outline, and 7 others (3 folding), contemporary red half morocco, the corners gilt with Beckford and Hamilton crests and mottoes ("De dieu tout" and "Through"), top edge gilt, others uncut, some spotting and offsetting, oxidisation to a few coloured plates, corners of binding bumped
