le bord évasé sur un fond plat, le pourtour à décor d'une jeune femme lisant une missive assise à une table, un homme s'approchant derrière elle pour la surprendre avec un crabe suspendu au bout d'un filin, au revers un rocher fleuri, marque Chenghua, socle en bois

Good condition. Three small pale iron spots inside. The enamels are good.

famille-verte cup of the same form, painted with a related scene, was included in the Oriental Ceramic Society of Hong Kong exhibition Ch'ing Polychrome Porcelain, The University of Hong Kong, 1977, cat.no.38, and sold in our Hong Kong rooms 19th November, 1984, lot 220, from the collection of Dr. Ip Yee; another was included in the exhibition Ch'ing Porcelain from the Wah Kwong Collection, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, 1973, cat.no.95.
