Description

Provenance

Collection personnelle d'Emile Guimet (1836-1918). Dans la famille depuis.

Condition

The jade is in good overall condition with the exception of loss to the tip of one finger visible in the catalogue illustration at top left and to the tip of one finger of the small fruit ; an uneven area of the surface around the russet inclusion; and possible chip and loss to the tip of one stalk at the rear of the carving. The stone is of a slightly warmer celadon tone than the catalogue illustration would suggest.
