Good condition. Some fritting and a gap line 1,5cm in the glaze to the rim. A few scattered iron spots and a discoloured patch 2,3cm diam. under the glaze inside. The original wood stand is in good condition.

Large basins, from the Yongzheng period, are often unmarked although they are possibly from imperial provenance. A lotus leaf shaped basin, from the Court Collection, is illustrated in The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum, Monochrome Porcelain, pl.173, p.191 ;  The shape can be compared to a small ruby-glazed washer with the Yongzheng mark, sold in our New York Rooms, 20 March 2002, lot 205.
