Colours lighter and not as dark and not as strident in reality. Pile in good overall condition, and approx depth of 6mm overall. With fringe at both ends, overlocked. Repaired cut lower corner of one end. Original overcasting. Four-sided chestnut coloured brown original outer guards have areas of loss of pile down to knot-bar foundation. Blue inner banding also with areas of loss and with sections of repiled repair. Redtip fading. Donkey brown and taupe oxidised to knot bar in some areas. Areas of reweaving for example shaped patches in outer border to right side, one section of repair across the brown selvedge, blue and cream banding and the orange trellis border, approx. 6cm. x 6cm with stem (`d'-shaped) , two others approx. 4cm. x 5cm. Section of repair to border and along inner border, bottom right, approx. 5cm. x 31.5cm. wide. Light blue and cream coloured circular motifs to one border repaired. Single roundel centre of top edge is oxidised and completely worn to knot-bar. Highlights to the bird roundels in central field have oxidised, and some of these areas have been repiled. Brown areas oxidised to knot-bar in the larger central roundel and with later repiling (section 7cm. x 22cm.) Central yellow field is stained in sections, there are some dark spot stains, and there are areas of orange hue to pile in areas.
