Description
Arabic manuscript on paper, 201 leaves, 19 lines to the page written in small naskhi script in black ink, gold florets with blue dots separating the verses, marginal devices in the form of leafy cartouches issuing flowers in colours and gold, margins ruled in gold, sura headings in blue within gold cartouches in blue florally decorated panels, three finely detailed and illuminated double page frontispieces with scrolling floral margins, opening suras within cloudbands against a gold ground, some pages with marginal Persian text in nasta'liq script within gold cloudbands, colophon dated at the end of the text as well as in the margin, contemporary floral lacquer binding with foliated red doublures
Condition
In very good overall condition, some rubbing to the binding spine and repair to the back of the opening illuminated page, as viewed.
