Description
of rectangular form, decorated in eggplant, fern green, cornflower blue, and mustard on a cream ground, with central eight-pointed interlaced geometric design encircled by a band of scrolling leaves, the corners with foliate motifs
Condition
The upper and lower borders (2.5cm) remain unglazed. Minor chips and losses along the edges, especially to the right edge of the left tile. Minor abrasions and losses to glazed surface throughout. A 6cm. crack running along the bottom-centre of the right tile, with associated restoration. Although these tiles are of the same design, these particular two might not have been adjacent to each other, as evidenced by a slight mismatch along the centre. Placed together on a wooden frame. As viewed.
