Description

of curved rectangular form with an everted lower edge, decorated in barbotine technique with a large central panel depicting a spotted bird between curved ribbon-like motifs and small rosettes, with two frontal depictions of lions flanking a central palmette design, with a spotted and spiralling border visible on the left

Condition

Losses and chips along the edges, especially to the bottom-left and right. A small (0.8cm diam.) perforation to the top centre. Minor cracks throughout. As viewed.
