Catalogue Note

The " Donnemara" design was one of Voysey's most succesful carpet design for the Alexander Morton & Co. workshop in Donegal, Ireland. Carpets in this design were woven in a range of different color schemes, both for private commissions and for retailers such as Liberty & Company, London. See Malcom Haslam, Arts & Crafts Carpets, London, 1991, p. 123, pl. 78, for a similar example in the "Donnemara" design
