Description

of shallow rounded form, decorated in underglaze cobalt blue, pale turquoise, and relief red, outlined in black, with a central cypress tree flanked by carnations, feathery saz leaves and rosettes issuing from curving stems, the rim with half flowerheads, the reverse with alternating paired tulips and rosettes

Condition

Minor losses and nibbles along the rim with a small chip to the top. One horizontal break running through the centre of the plate and another curved break along the left, both with associated restoration. Very light abrasions to glazed surface throughout. Two small chips to the back of the dish's centre-left, as viewed.
