Description
the picture glass mounted within a circular frame decorated with a repoussé scrolling floral vine intercepted by calligraphic cartouches against a punched ground, the inner frame with a narrow arcade of palmettes, the reverse covered in velvet and mounted with a silver-gilt medallion with a central rose radiating fluted rays, the silver openwork cover decorated with repoussé roses, blossoms and 'C' scrolls encircling a central mounted gilt rose bud, the cover secured to the mirror frame by four rotating pins with sea shell terminals
