Description
the slender watered steel blade expanding towards the tip with stylised shell decoration at the lock, the leather scabbard with hinged opening running along the top edge, with en suite engraved silver with stylised floral decoration and armorial device
Condition
overall good condition. the blade suffers from some patination, due to age. the wooden hilt has some cracks and has had some minor restoration. the leather scabbard has some damage; the chape has patination and knocks, the forte is coming loose and also suffers from patination and indentations, the hinged opening for the sword is coming loose but does still close, the leather of the scabbard also has some minor cracks to the skin, as viewed.
