Description
the double-edged curved watered-steel blade with central ridge, the gold-mounted waisted hilt engraved with stylised floral motifs, wood scabbard covered with velvet and wire embroidery, repoussé lock and chape with en suite gem-set decoration
Condition
In good overall condition.Tthe steel blade bears some patination, the gold-mounted hilt is in excellent condition. The embroidery on the scabbard is fraying and at two points the wood can be seen where the velvet has become unstitched. Minor damage to the gem-set chape, as viewed.
