Description
the tapered watered-steel blade with flat back edge, the ivory hilt in two sections, decorated with stylised gilt foliage to hilt and lock, the scabbard with gilt lock and bull finial chape comprising openwork decoration and bands of vine scrolls
Condition
overall in good condition. some minor patination to blade, ivory hilt has some scratches and staining. some rubbing to gold gilt decoration at pommel and lock. scabbard has fraying to the material but gold mount is in good condition with just some minor scratches and dents, as viewed.
