Provenance
Literature
The doors come from the 'Lombard House' built in 1928 by Pierre Patout for the painter Alfred Lombard in Boulogne, near Paris. Patout had built the 'Pavillon du Collectionneur' for Ruhlmann, shown at the 1925 exhibition. Later, the painter, the architect and the designer collaborated all together for the decoration of ocean liners as the Normandie.
