The canvas is lined. SURFACE: Minor craquelure visible in the sky. Thins areas in the buildings and figures at right, the paving stones at right, and the gondola in the left foreground. UNDER UV: Inpainting: at the edges particularly along top and bottom and in the upper corners, scattered spots in the sky (particularly around the second mooring pole from the left), in the two poles at left, scattered spots in the water mostly around the gondola, on the gondola's cab, a few spots on the pavement at lower center.
