SURFACE: In good condition, the colors strong and vibrant. Two small losses at upper left. Some pigment separation in the thick impasto of the figures (particularly in the whites). Faint craquelure throughout. Thing areas along the right and left edges and along the top, in the foliage (not the result of pigment loss). Nail holes in the corners. UNDER UV: No apparent inpainting. A few small spots of pigment loss visible in the foliage at upper center. Condition of the reverse: Generally good but with more serious craquelure and pigment loss associated with the frame.
