Condition

Good condition overall; some wear and tear, nicks and scratches from traditional use and handling, including the top of both ears, left nostril, upper lip and cheeks; the attached parts of clay with human hair at the coiffure and beard are extremely fragile; the proper left beard is missing as seen on photographs; two wooden pegs on proper right side still in place where fiber costume would have been attached, the other pegs missing; some insect damage (small worm holes) on reverse, resulting in a tiny hole at the proper left edge of the nose; fine dark brown patina with white and red pigment.
