Good condition overall, wear consistent with age and use within the culture: hairline cracks, losses to the edge and to the patina, all evident in the catalogue illustration.

Catalogue Note

cf. Waite (1983 : 29) pour une pagaie cérémonielle comparable dans la collection du Musée Barbier-Mueller (n° 4505W). Le revers est orné d'une tête de personnage traditionnel kokorra, surmontée d'un oiseau. Elle porte sur la pale une ancienne étiquette manuscrite "174". Ancienne patine d'usage, avec rehauts de polychromie noire et rouge.
